Coaches Keep Your Practices Exciting With Some Fun Volleyball Drills

December 23rd, 2008

Volleyball drills for youth are usually introduced at a young age. Fun volleyball drills are often simple to do. some are Georgia Lemon Laws and heavy on skills with the older players, . These type are a way you can obtain a high level of overall fitness. Many that involve players rotating quickly are good because they can get a break in focusing on the task then come back and do the same thing several times again after each rotation during the session. So they are able to keep doing the same thing without getting bored repeating the same thing over and over.

Fun Volleyball drills for practice often need to be adjusted on the fly because of such a busy lifestyle. Many teenagers have very busy lives and are often stressed and in a rush. Players may sometimes show up to practice and what you as a coach had planned just isn’t going to work that day. Coaches need to pay attention to how players are feeling and adjust practices accordingly.

Some volleyball team drills is where Player one hits the ball down to player two. Player two digs the ball to themselves, hits to themselves , then left fist only, and right fist only, sets to themselves, then player two hits the ball down to player one, who repeats the process. Players are not allowed to jump and the net will be lowered to the height that makes a natural swing possible without jumping.

Watch your blocker then Go get the ball. I say it this way to emphasize Reaching OVER the net to grab or block the ball. Watch a competitor’s game while you have a break. Also, at high school games, there are usually multiple levels that play on the same day. When performing your serve, you want to make certain your lead foot is opposite from your hitting arm. If your lead and hitting arm are both on the same side, you will be unbalanced, which can result in a wild serve and injury may happen.

Just remember try to have fun volleyball drills, keep your players interested at practice they will try harder with a more relaxed setting, just as long as it doesn’t turn into a goofing around session you should get good results out of your players.

How to Become a Complete Baseball Player

December 22nd, 2008

This is the ultimate goal for a ball player right? Developing the “five tools”. It takes commitment and dedication of course, but it also takes a positive attitude towards improvement.

I read a quote yesterday from a college coach that really stuck with me…

“you will never improve a skill or ability if you start out thinking
you know everything about it.”

Sounds simple enough. Some would say “keep an opened mind” says the same thing but I think there’s more to it. My interpretation of this statement is… in order for a person to reach their goals they must be open to learning from others who have been down the road before them. In relationship to baseball it means listening to all advice and finding the good in it.

A baseball player will work with many coaches throughout their career. Youth players generally have different coaches every season. Some more experienced and knowledgeable than others. If you are lucky enough to play for a coach who really knows his or her stuff you will do yourself a great service by opening up, paying attention and taking in everything they want to teach you. You may not agree with everything, but take it in. Then you can balance that knowledge with what you have learned from others. This is how players improve… take the best lessons from the best coaches and put it all together. That’s how you become a “complete” player.

For example, my friend’s son has played for a coach the past 3 seasons who is VERY knowledgeable about hitting.. he played Div1 ball, was a powerhitter, taught him a lot. This coach also thought he knew a lot about baserunning. He knew some, but another coach this player worked with privately was a base stealing phemon who taught him things that the hitting coach had never learned. However, when the hitting coach gave him baserunning instruction he listened and took it in. Yet he practiced and used most of what the baserunning coach taught him. One day he had a game where he stole 3 bases. After the game the hitting coach said “say, great game today, you seem to have come up with a baserunning technique that really works for you, stay with it”. Get the picture?

There are very few absolutes in baseball. While disk data recovery services are general guidelines on how to do things, every player is different. Players learn baseball skills in a way that fits them. That’s why when you look at college and pro players, they all have similar elements in their swings, yet every swing is different.

Good coaches know that not all players have the same batting stance or the same load/stride technique, or the same stance when leading off 1st base. A good coach wants a player to get the most of their mental and physical ability.

The best advice to you, the player, is listen to all your coaches and take in the best parts from each. If you do this you will be well on your way to meeting your baseball goals and becoming a “complete player”.

Work From Home Legitimate Business

December 21st, 2008

If mesthelioma would like to start working from home but need some help figuring out where to start, let those who have been there before help you. Whether you decide to talk to seasoned professionals or read articles and e-books online, you will need some tips from people who have started a work from home legitimate business. Knowing how to begin is half the battle to success.

What’s Your Why?

You will first need to examine your reasons for wanting to start a home business. If you want to make millions, that probably is not a realistic expectation in the first few months. However, if your dream is to make a good living working from home, you are on the right path, as many people fulfill this wish each year.

What Are Your Skills?

You will also need to recognize your skills and passions. Doing what you love and are good at will make the road to success much easier than forcing yourself to struggle with a business that you hate. You will ultimately be happier with a business that you look forward to running each day, and will therefore make more money. This is because the business will not always feel like work, so you will be able to work more days and longer hours without feeling stressed out.

What’s Your Market?

You also need to figure out if there is a market for your product or service. If you offer tutoring, unique computer software, or some other useful service or product, you have done your research and realized that there is a need for such tools. However, if you are selling typewriters or printer paper for an outdated printer, you have probably not done your homework, as there is not much of a market for such items. Ask yourself if you, as a consumer, would buy your product or service. This also makes it easier to market your business, as you will know what angle to take and what features to highlight if you figure out what would impress you as a consumer.

What’s Your Startup Budget?

Finally, one of the most important steps to starting a work from home legitimate business is to figure out your startup budget. If you are developing a product, you will probably have a lot of startup costs, such as materials, possible labor, and space to make the product. However, if you are simply marketing products from home, editing, or other similar activities, you will probably not have any overhead to start, which obviously makes budgeting very easy.

If you start with these tips, you will find it easier to get on the right path to success, as they come from professionals who have started their own businesses.

Top Five Reasons Why Reciprocal Link Requests Are Turned Down by Experienced Webmasters

December 20th, 2008

Reciprocal linking is one of the accepted methods adopted by webmasters buy viagra build traffic, increase link popularity and improve page rank. It is a known fact that in recent times search engines have mesothelioma clinical trial to place more importance to one-way inbound link and consider it to be superior to a reciprocal link. It is also known that search engines do appreciate reciprocal links if the links are from quality theme related websites.

Webmasters receive regular requests for reciprocal link exchange either by e-mail or through their websites where provision is made for the submission of requests for reciprocal link exchange. Why are most requests rejected to the utter disappointment and dismay of webmasters of new websites anxious to increase their link popularity and page rank?

Some of the major reasons for the refusal to reciprocate a link exchange request can be attributed to:

1. When a reciprocal link exchange request is received, the obvious thing the webmaster will do is to visit the website making a request and try to identify what this website is all about. If the request is from a website with an irrelevant theme, the chances are the request will be turned down. The reason is that search engines will not give him any credit for linking with an irrelevant site and he cannot expect any targeted traffic from such a website either.

2. Poor content of your website is another major reason for the rejection of your reciprocal link exchange request. Websites with good quality theme related content are seldom rejected. In fact webmasters appreciate reciprocal link exchange requests from non competitive theme related websites since these sites will provide their own visitors with useful website experience and also receive targeted traffic.

3. If your website is with a PR zero or with a low Page Rank and if you request a link exchange with a high PR site, unfortunately your request will most probably be turned down. The reason being that the high PR site will not benefit by linking with your site. One saving grace here is that if you have excellent theme related content and indicate that you are growing fast some websites will link to you hoping that you will achieve high PR rank soon.

4. Most webmasters want to know whether your link directory is easily accessible to your website visitors. Hiding it in a maze of other information will not help. Your link page should be only two clicks away from your home page. A webmaster with a good link directory set-up will not be interested in complying with your request if your link directory is not easily accessible.

5. Having several dozens of links in each page is another reason for the rejection of a link request. If you wish to succeed in your request then you should ensure that you categorize the link directory and have not more than twenty five links to a page.

It should now be obvious why most requests for reciprocal link exchange are turned down. Having good quality unique content is the best way to start your reciprocal link campaign and succeed in your efforts.

Spooky Spirits - A Downloadable Game Review

December 19th, 2008

A downloadable game created by Legendo Entertainment AB, debtfree direct game revolves around two wardens of the NetherWard effects of marijuana a place where all the ghosts are kept -, whose jobs are to guard naughty ghosts and spirits (called Spookies) from frightening human beings. These two wardens are siblings Becky and Tim. Unfortunately, as the story goes, Tim ‘accidentally’ snoozed away one day and allowed the Spookies to escape, but of course Tim insists he was not sleeping on the job. Now, Becky and Tim have to embark on an adventure in order to recapture the Spookies and bring them back to Netherward.

The Game

The introduction of the game is alluring enough and its context is fairly fresh. Surely the idea of ghost guardians chasing after pesky little spirits is an appeal on its own. Sadly though, the introduction gives us a false sense of gaming adventure, because this is certainly not an adventurist type of game. It is simply like a game of Tetris or Collapse, but with a twist.

Generally, this color-matching-blocks game requires the player to drop colored blocks into the container before any of them reaches the top. There is a catch though. You can’t necessarily clear the blocks by just dropping any blocks to a group of matching color blocks. Only blocks that contain the ghostly Spookies can clear the blocks when dropped on them. When that happens, the Spookies will be captured and trapped in another container or the Spookie-tank. If you drop a Spookie-block on blocks of different color, it will not explode and will merely stay there until you drop another block of same color on or next to it.

The objective is to capture as many Spookies as possible. If you fail and the blocks reach to the top, you will get a snickering ‘Nice try’. But no worries, you can always replay the level.

Modes

There are, in total, three modes to play from. The first one is the Panic Mode, and is played exactly as explained above, and with a target score that you have to meet before you can move on to the next level.

The second one is the Puzzle Mode, where you must clear all the colored blocks with a limited number of drops. For instance, in level one, you are given a maximum of one drop only. That means you must clear the block by dropping the Spookie-block only once. This takes a bit of thinking, but there is no rush like in Panic Mode.

The last one is Eternity Mode. This is where you want to play to earn high scores and get your name in the reputed Hall of Fame. The speed of the game will increase gradually, and it is played like the Panic Mode, only this time, there is no target score.

Instructions

When you start to play at the start of every mode, there will be a short how-to-play instruction to guide you. The game is simple enough so players will unlikely have any great difficulties in it. In the case where you need help, you can always return to the menu and go to the instructions. The game allows you create a profile at the start so you don’t have to worry about having your ‘achievements’ erased - it will be all saved.

There is one minor glitch though. There is no verbal dictation throughout the game so young children who cannot read properly might find it difficult to understand.

Sound and graphics

The graphics and music are excellent. The first time I saw the characters of Becky and Tim, the only word I could think of was, ‘Cute!’ The music that accompanies is suitable and creates a fun and exciting atmosphere while still maintaining a bit of spookiness. To complete the ghostly ambience of the game, the cursor also resembles a severed mummified hand (but not a gory one).

This is a fun-loving game and while it might not sustain prolonged attention from the adults, it will sure get the kids hooked up. It is worth a rating of 4/5.

High School Or College Player to Basketball Pro in Some Few Steps

December 18th, 2008

Once you have landed a scholarship and you start to fulfill your childhood dream, then you might begin to feel that school basketball is no longer sufficient to satiate your aching for the professional basketball league. If you have decided to go pro and believe that you can, then read these time-tested guidelines that will surely make you the next ‘talk of the town’:

1. Be committed. Once you feel that you have the talent to become a professional basketball player, then commit yourself. Don’t chicken out at the slightest sign of obstacles (because there will be many).

2. It is imperative for you to be on top of your game at all times. Psychic yourself to be a go-getter and that you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to.

3. Prepare yourself physically. In terms of endurance, if you are able to run a mile, then do two. Double your efforts and the results will be doubled as well.

4. Impress your coach. He will be able to back you up on any applications that you make. When he is assured that he has a key player on his team, he might be able to make recommendations. If not, at least the word will get around that a certain player performs each game like it is the last game of his life.

5. Professional basketball is a form of employment and, thus, a career. If you have submitted your best resumes for the college athletic scholarship, then it’s a must to submit something more than your best. Highlight the skills that make you an asset to the professional team (examples are your statistics, newspaper articles that were written about you or your team, proof of game programs, etc.). Express your desire to enter the professional league by adding a cover letter. Make sure that the complete application papers are forwarded ahead of schedule.

6. Good grades: Since professional basketball doesn’t require licensing, time and again, the importance of getting good grades is reiterated. Most professional leagues require their players to have graduated from college or be nearing graduation. insurance estimates students should graduate within the prescribed calendar year. If not, some leagues are able to take in high school graduates. To add to that, they not only require mere graduates but graduates who made good grades.

7. Develop a professional attitude. Learn punctuality and self-discipline in all matters. Also, know how to bridle your anger. The slightest provocation could send you home and deprive you of the chance to earn $25,000-$20 million every year. Be sure that you are emotionally mature enough to take the rigors of the job.

8. Apply as early as when you are 20 years of age. In NBA, for instance, they will require you to have graduated from high school at least two years prior to the recruitment process.

9. Prepare to be homesick. Most professional basketball players have to travel (very far away) from their home so psyche yourself to be tough in all circumstances. Success will only come to those who are willing to sacrifice something in return.

10. Get yourself an agent that will serve as your counselor. These agents will further your basketball career by helping you connect to the right people in the industry. If you are one of those players who gets called from agents without even asking for one, then you are mightily blessed.

11. Plan for your retirement. When you are retired, what will you do? You have to have a buffer career for your retirement years. If you can, establish a business and a sizable savings. Know that there is life beyond the basketball court and that you will inevitably live that.

Personal Online Education Vs Physical College Degree

December 14th, 2008

Some experts now say that anyone can become a virtual expert in nearly any subject in about 2-weeks of full-time, high-paced study on the Internet. Is this true? Well, I believe it is, but let’s think about this rationally before we go jumping to conclusions.

First, let’s consider the philosophical perspective. What is an expert? Some say that an expert is anyone who knows their industry or field of endeavor better than 80% of the rest of the participants in the sector.

Okay, so that is the basic 80/20 rule right? Well, maybe that is a good way to judge things? Eighty percent of any industry is mortgage ccj made up of place holders or those who earn a living there and do their 9-5 thing. But, in every industry there are industry experts and we could say that they are between 5-20% of the industry participants.

Now then, can someone studying their little rear off actually be more acquainted with the industry and all its information or a sub-sector of that industry by reading and studying on the Internet for two weeks solid? Maybe they can, it depends on what they are reading or if they are taking an actual online course or completely immersed in it.

Let’s say for the sake of argument someone studies 17-hours per day for two weeks taking no days off. If so they will have spend just under 240 hours of study in that time period. And they will have a benefit too, as they can study all the latest information, whereas a person with a college degree that is 10-years old, but considered an expert might not have.

Wow, maybe studying online is the way to go, and maybe just maybe someone who studies that hard may actually be an expert in many things and many different industries over a 4-5 year period.

Personally, this is how I see it and basically this is what I have done for the last 10-years online reading anything and everything in any industry that interests me. But does that really make me an expert? You decide, this article’s mission has been fulfilled, to make you think!

Video Marketing and YouTube

December 13th, 2008

Video and or you tube video marketing isn’t something new, it has been around for car insure few years and marketers have successfully used it to their advantage. It usually involves making a video that documents your business, or even a how-to video with a link at the bottom of your video. In this article we will explore the various marketing opportunities that You tube and other video sharing websites provide.

According to Alexa.com you tube is the second busiest website on the internet. According to Quantcast you tube gets around 60 million unique hits per month. According to a recent survey conducted by Emarketers the majority of youtube viewers belong to the 15-35 age group, and watch around 5-6 hours of online video a week. Their household incomes range between 0-100K+, making them the best people for marketers to target.

The best way to market your service is to make a short how-to video, with a link to your website at the bottom of the screen. For instance if you have a web design business you can make a short video that shows people how to make a simple one page website, this will increase you credibility as well as draw people to your website. Once your video is finished and uploaded to You tube you can then use the share option and share it with all the people in your mailing list. So the more contacts you have, the easier it is to market your service.

You can also Use social media websites to share your video as well. Send an email to your friends and family with a link to your video at the bottom and a short note encouraging them to share it with their network of friends and family.

Videos on social media websites such as facebook and myspace spread like wildfire. Don’t forget to post links to your videos in your profile as well as send them to your friends. You can also use a service such as stumbleupon.com or digg.com to share your videos with your friends and family by importing their emails and referring them to stumbleupon.

One of the most basic and important things about video and or youtube marketing is the quality of your video. If your video is really good, and interesting people won’t have a problem sharing it with others, most people will view your video multiple times. On the other hand if your video is just like all the others out there, then unfortunately it might meet its untimely demise.
